Tempted, those tormented, adam and god, eve the tormentor, and redemption on the front hood. The rolling illuminated manuscript!

End of patch and paint phase 1

There are two sides of the new cab top. One side shows barbie in her role as eve about to take an apple in the garden. The other a more hellish side is of the fall and contains the turbine with woodie spinning around. Eventually the magnets on the door will be replaced with xylophones. The task has been to give the truck a more unified folk art theme that is the fall of adam and eve. Eventually baby jesus to be installed in larger form on hood to go with verses of adam ebounded.

Rebuild following decapitation July August 2009

Demolition begins- aluminum cap super saturated with unusually heavy rains this spring colapsed inward so out cam the reciprocating saw...it took three days to remove and a few more to haul away the mess....

Parts recycled from the cab installed on the cap. Lots of foam something like 20-30 cans


Turbine fan behind the no sun block barbies. This is second stage of foam work one more or so to go.

The alpohorn! That is the candy cane thing running left to right above the truck shiny brass bell....Done on time! A wonder! Plays great.

The bell of the alphorn- so good to have something actually happen and get done. Refreshing in a year when everything seems to be way behind schedule. 

At last an Alphorn on the truck! It is the thing looking like a candy cane leading from mouthpiece center bottom right to bell in back.

Mr dot...again! 

The horns are glued on the truck and ride on the Magnet truck every day. They sound great under bridges and tunnels! The largest is a tuba which can be seen to the top right covered with toys of all kinds. The horn hat is covered with bright beeds and mirrors. Great for hands free playing. Get your child interested in playing a brass instrument! Come on down to the artcar festival the first weekend in August in Louisville and get them started! It is free! 

There are almost twenty different horns- a virtual horn orchestra! Bring your brass group down and try it out!  

Conrad Bladey Horn Hatter and Artcar Artists invites you to pick a horn to play! Brass horns are connected via plastic tubes to horns glued on the truck! Conrad models one of his horn hats made from a french horn. Come on down to the festival and toot your own horn- maybe try out a horn hat....
